Sharing a series of photos from the engagement — including a close-up of the all-important ring — the pair’s joint caption read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨”

The announcement comes a little over two years after Travis and Taylor started dating, and Travis’s dad, Ed Kelce, has now let slip that 35-year-old Taylor was getting “antsy” for a proposal before Travis got down on one knee.

Ed spoke to News 5’s John Kosich shortly after the news broke, and he revealed that the stars actually got engaged around two weeks ago, with Travis bringing his plan to pop the question forward because of how impatient Taylor was getting.

“Travis actually did the proposal, oh, maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago," Ed explained. "He was going to put it off until this week —I think she was getting maybe a little antsy.”

Ed then explained that Travis had wanted the proposal to be “some grand thing” and “a special event,” but both he and Taylor’s dad, Scott Swift, assured him that wasn’t necessary, and it’d still be special even if he proposed “on the side of the road.”

Needless to say, the whole thing still looked pretty spectacular in the photos, which show Taylor and Travis surrounded by flowers in a beautiful garden.

And Ed revealed that this was actually the garden of Travis’s Missouri home, and that the NFL star had “made a nice little floral garden around a gazebo” especially for the proposal.

“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said: ‘Let's go out and have a glass of wine,' they got out there, and that's when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” he shared, going on to reveal that the couple immediately FaceTimed their parents to share the news.

Awkwardly, Ed was actually at a pretty public Eagles practice that had 60,000 people in attendance when Travis and Taylor FaceTimed him, but he thankfully managed to keep the engagement on the down low.

He added that he knew Travis had been planning to propose for the last few months, but the couple haven’t started to make wedding plans just yet.
